Chris joined Article Student Living in 2021 (Formerly CA Ventures) and is part of the Student Housing Acquisition team. His responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating acquisition opportunities in university markets throughout the US and closing on investments for the firm. Since joining, Chris has closed over $300 million in student housing acquisitions. Chris is a Founder & Principal of Cecchin Capital, a Real Estate Investment Shop Focused on Core-Plus and Value-Add Student Housing at Top-Tier Universities. Since inception, Chris has closed over $2 million in commercial acquisitions.Prior to joining Article & Cecchin Capital, Chris started his real estate career at Equity Lifestyle Properties (Finance & Investor Relations Intern) and Edward Rose & Sons (Land Acquisition & Development Intern). Upon graduating, he was a Real Estate Corporate Banker with BMO Harris Bank, a top 10 largest bank in North America by assets. During his time at BMO, Chris specialized in Corporate Level Term Loans & Revolvers, and Portfolio Management for Real Estate Investment Trusts.Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Business in Finance and Real Estate from Indiana University's prestigious Kelley School of Business. When Chris is not in the office, you'll find him cooking, playing tennis & basketball, working out, watching football & movies, playing board games, and planning his next trip.
