Provide support and training for colleagues in the team, academic staff and students in using the technology-rich learning spaces for inquiry-based and other learning, e.g. computer equipment, plasma screen clusters, digital cameras, audio recording equipment, printers, scanners etc.. Providing training sessions on how to use this equipment and the Information Commons (IC). Demonstrating the capabilities of the technology as required. Preparing ‘How to…’ user friendly training guides for each range of technology available. Also provide frontline IT/AV technical support to staff and students; maintain computing equipment, printers, scanners etc. within pool teaching space, both innovative and standard. Troubleshoot and support software and hardware problems on computers used by staff/students and facilitate their connection to the University network. Ensure equipment fit for purpose and ready for use daily.Liaise with relevant staff in CiCS and other professional services departments to ensure smooth running of planned activities.

To provide technical support for the day to day running of CILASS teaching spaces and technologies. I train new users and encourage current users to explore how they can use the spaces and technologies to their full potential and enhance the learning and teaching experience. My aim as IT/AV Advisor is to increase the use of the CILASS teaching spaces and technologies. For example; the use of additional equipment, the use of CILASS access grid node, and minimising technical problems.In short... To unlock technologies for Inquiry-Based learning,I am also responsible for the loans and returns of equipment and for making sure the CILASS teaching spaces web pages are easy to use, inspiring and up-to-date.

Since Graduating from Laban in 2004, I have been producing my own choreographic work and dance related films. All of my commissioned work to date has been as a dance filmmaker, and I have been able to work with a wide range of dance artists. The dance film work can be anything from recording a show, documenting a process, or producing a full length edited version of a dance work (or trailer). I film and edit all the work produces with my own equipment. I have presented my choreographic and film work both nationally and internationally and have also been contracted to lead intensive dance film/ documentary workshops at Central School of Speech and Drama, Laban and The Brit School, London.

To support the use of IT/ AV equipment for learning, teaching and research. Provide first line training and on-going IT/ AV support within the Library and Archive and elsewhere in Laban. Develop user support for the effective use of computing, media and other resources to support learning and research (this Includes writing training materials, instruction and troubleshooting guides). Advise on policies and the development of technical resources at Laban. Responsible for all day to day IT/ AV issues for Library and Archive. Install, maintain, repair and advise on the purchase of IT/ AV equipment as required. Set up IT/ AV equipment in the Library in such a way that it is easy for students and staff to use without referral. Maintain stocks of IT and media consumables. Assist with Library and Archive services.
