I am an aspiring Certified Public Accountant (CPA) currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting at Loyola University Maryland. With a 3.8 GPA and recognition through honors such as Beta Alpha Psi, Dean's List, and several scholarships, I am dedicated to academic success and continuous professional development.My hands-on experience spans across tax preparation, auditing, and financial analysis. As an Accounting Intern at YHB, I enhanced my tax preparation and auditing skills by working with advanced software like CCH Axcess, GoFileRoom, and Caseware. My responsibilities included preparing tax returns for C-corporations, individuals, and reviewing financial statements, performing compliance tasks, and analyzing complex client data.At Seton Hall's Advancement Office, I gained valuable insight into higher education finance. I conducted detailed analyses of fundraising costs across 20 peer institutions and developed actionable strategies for improving financial performance, which I presented to leadership. This experience solidified my skills in financial research and the ability to provide data-driven recommendations.As an Advanced Preparer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, I further honed my tax expertise by preparing and reviewing advanced tax returns involving self-employment, investment income, and more. Working alongside CPA volunteers and a large team of preparers, I managed to review over 50 returns, strengthening my teamwork and leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment.I have also gained valuable experience in consulting as an Analyst with Loyola Consulting Group, where I conducted market research and competitor analysis for a local Med-Tech startup. This role challenged my problem-solving and creative thinking, allowing me to contribute directly to the redesign of the company's webpage and the development of new product features.Outside of accounting and finance, I served as a Coxswain for Loyola Men’s Rowing, leading practices and motivating my team to perform at their best. This experience taught me the importance of leadership, communication, and strategic thinking.I am proficient in Excel, Tableau, Qualtrics, Caseware, CCH Axcess, and Adobe, and I am working towards an Excel certification. My goal is to further my career in public accounting, particularly in tax and audit, where I can continue to apply my technical skills and passion for problem-solving.
