Provided direct oversight to the Triage program, which provides case management for guests with a focus on reducing and ending their homelessness more rapidly than traditional shelter. Interviewed 20-25 applicants per week to determine eligibility according to BHA's Administrative Plan. Offered referrals when needed, particularly if applicants are not eligible. Successfully completed Nan McKay's Rent Calculation Specialist training program focused on verification requirements, calculating adjusted income, and calculating rent including housing assistance payment and tenant share.

Conducted a program evaluation of county welfare office operations in San Diego, CA and designed and implemented recommendations for operations changes. Assisted North Carolina's Department of Health and Human Services in streamlining policy for administering public benefits. Selected to present on job readiness tasks for youth with disabilities at the 2011 National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) Youth Development Symposium.

Performed street outreach with city’s homeless outreach team to link homeless individuals with resources and shelter; conducted an evaluation of homeless services provided by the Department of Behavioral Health and assessed effectiveness of safe haven and Chronic Homeless Drug and Alcohol Treatment programs through interviews and focus groups with consumers and service providers.

Coordinated and produced a research project on use of state funding by area homeless shelters through surveying shelter directors; researched funding opportunities for homeless individuals; analyzed Massachusetts state budget; maintained contact with MHSA's member agencies (shelters and other homeless service providers across the state); presented research findings to annual meeting of agency’s members.
