I work with organisations to extract value from their investment in data acquisition, data processing, interpretation and knowledge sharing, from the raw measurements that underpin regulatory compliance to the context rich wisdom that drives critical business decisions.

Managed the launch of the National Measurement Network, the Network provides access to the latest measurement science for UK industry and academia. Led the technical and strategic review and implemented the migration of the exsisting Knowledge exchange network to the Technology Strategy Board’s online platform (_connect). Membership of the Network grew to over 2,000 scientists, engineers and academics from business, public and education under my leadership. Managed team of 7 knowledge service professionals, delivering knowledge exchange events and internationally recognised scientific conferences

Implemented technology management capability to assess emerging technologies. Built a portfolio of technology options for thermo catalytic conversions. Evaluated latest tools for technology intelligence gathering and technology evaluation. Convened an innovation network covering BP’s Refining and Marketing segment. Implemented a strategic technology fund allocating awards up to $500m.

Accountable for agreeing scope, schedule, budget and deliverables for projects in chemical sensors, compositional analysis of refinery feedstock and the applications of informatics.

Managed the provision of Analytical Laboratory Services and Product Quality Assurance to the BP Cherry Point Business Unit
