I help my clients resolve disputes involving property, probate, and trusts (often in insolvency scenarios).I have acted as junior counsel for the successful parties in two of the most important property law appeals in recent years: Bank of New York Mellon (International) Ltd v. Cine-UK Ltd [2022] EWCA Civ 1021 (concerning liability for coronavirus-related rent arrears); and P&P Property Ltd v. Owen White & Catlin LLP [2018] EWCA Civ 1082 (concerning liability for the sale of property by impostors posing as the owners, a surprisingly common fraud).Contentious probate is another key area of practice, with recent trials involving claims for reasonable provision under the Inheritance Act 1975 and challenges to wills based on testamentary incapacity.
