• My Change Manager role at Vanguard involves working with multiple areas in APAC and globally to ensure that changes to our production system are recorded, evaluated and authorised ensuring risk to business is.
• Drive cultural change across the APAC organisation to adopt and adhere to the operational processes in order to manage the integrity and operational relevance of Vanguard systems.

As part of the Data Center Consolidation Project my work as a UNIX Engineer involves a variety of new Solaris builds and migrations from existing systems. Liasing with a variety of stakeholders to achieve a desirable outcome is one of my key attributes along with my technical knowledge.

• As part of the Unix Technical Services delivery team I was assigned to the Cash Management Platform ( CMP ) project. This was a large scale project which involved several key deliverables. The hardware platform Oracle.
• Work with incidents and work requests.
• Provision and support Solaris containers and physical servers in all environments – DEV/TEST/PROD SUPP/PROD & DR. – Project life cycle management.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution activities as well as assist with analysts and other peers.

My intitial role within IBM was to support Business as Usual systems ( BAU ) as well mentor and assist junior UNIX administrators. Other areas within this role was to identify potential issues in the transition of my previously supported Telstra Data Center systems into the IBM model as well as providing support and problem solving skills to ensure that.

My tasks in this role, included:a/ supporting pre-existing UNIX servers from various Telstra projects which were brought under the KAZ umbrella, as well as build, and support new environments.b/ project based work. Ie. Implement, build and support new projects using the DCMI model, prior to handing these projects back to the relevant Telstra support.
