As Vice President of operations and maintenance Chris is responsible for oversight, coordination and management of operations and maintenance at all CMSI run Automated People Mover (APM) systems within the US. He is also responsible for leading the direction of financial, contract, and customer O&M strategies by reviewing and implementing compliance. His role also develops the operating philosophy, objectives, and expectations.Some of his essential functions include:•Directing the CMSI managers in their oversight of O&M at all Company run Automated People Mover (APM) systems.•Along with the President and CEO of CMSI, negotiating long-term contracts with customers ensuring the terms of the contracts meet the customer needs and are according to CMSI policies and procedures. Ensure signed contracts are followed as agreed to review any discrepancies and negotiate all conflicts.•Meeting or exceeding customers’ and employees’ needs by communicating as often as necessary to build a solid relationship with CMSI staff as well as customer management personnel in a timely manner ensuring the customer is fully satisfied with the services provided.•Overseeing the development of annual budgets to fund the O&M activities at all CMSI sites, approving final budgets.

As Senior Manager of operations and maintenance, Chris managed the maintenance and operations of the AeroTrain Automated People Mover including oversight of subcontractors. He functioned as the organization's liaison with customer personnel, making decisions on conclusions for which there is little precedent.Some of his essential functions included:• Oversight of APM System operation and maintenance including managing staff, ensuring compliance with the contract and implementation of all safety requirements.• Communication with the customer to ensure customer needs and satisfaction.• Assistance with annual budgeting.• Regular reporting and analysis of system performance.• Managing and administering all subcontractor contracts related to O&M services.• Managing LDBE contract requirements.• Oversight of system overhauls and capital asset replacement planning.• Ensuring compliance with the Washington Dulles International Airport safety and security oversight program standards. • Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state or local regulatory requirements.

Chris managed both the Skytrain North Terminal and the MIA Mover APM system as well as the Skytrain. As Operations and Maintenance Manager, Mr. Lane managed the maintenance and operations of the Skytrain Automated People Mover which included the oversight of subcontractors. He functioned as the organization's liaison with customer personnel, making decisions on conclusions for which there was little precedent. The MIA Mover System required additional Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) oversight. At the MIA Mover site, Chris was a member of the System Safety Program Plan committee which takes the lead role in formulating the safety policy for the MIA Mover and ensuring that the System Safety Program is adequately implemented. In addition, Chris was also responsible for integrating the Skytrain North Terminal site into the same FDOT-regulated safety program. The MIA Mover system is also part of a 24-hour 365-day-per-year must-ride system which requires keeping any system downtime to a minimum and coordinating closely with Landside operations to provide alternative transport in the event of any extended downtime. In addition to day-to-day operations, Mr. Lane also coordinated the expansion of the MIA Mover system to include the addition of 4 new cars and an additional crossover.Some of his essential functions included:• Oversight of APM System operation and maintenance including managing staff, ensuring compliance with the contract and implementation of all safety requirements.• Communication with the customer to ensure customer needs and satisfaction.• Assistance with annual budgeting.• Regular reporting and analysis of system performance.• Managing and administering all subcontractor contracts related to O&M services.• Ensuring compliance with Florida Department of Transport Safety and Security Program for Fixed Guideway Standards.• Ensuring regulatory compliance with Department of the Environment and OSHA.
