Served as Chief AV Engineer for a 6000 member non-denominational church in Birmingham, AL with 2 campuses and 12 venues requiring audio, video, and/or lighting. Responsible for creating a new level of technical excellence in the areas of audio, video and lighting as the ministry manager of over 40 ministry volunteers and six paid/contract staff in the audio ministry. Served as technical lead for a leading television ministry and other video production services. Implemented new AVL programs campus-wide including in-house closed captioning, customer oriented AV services, in-house equipment repair and maintenance, and on-going technical training curriculum, etc. Served as in-house consultant on existing and future building initiatives including a $16 million dollar family activity center consisting of 6 separate venues requiring audio, video, and lighting.

Responsible for managing a new Birmingham, Alabama location of this national provider of production services. In charge of recruiting and training workers to install production quality staging and specialty theatrical drapery for clients like Alabama Power, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Clear Channel Entertainment and others. Responsible for maintaining reasonably low margins of operating while keeping our standard of professionalism and customer service above average.

Introduced a new standard of excellence in performance and organization of the audio/visual team at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel. Developed functional A/V teams to handle daily activities. Assisted the Director of Event Technology in uplifting team morale, building character, and strengthening confidence. Installed audio visual equipment for in-house guests and clients who required audio visual services including but not limited to sound reinforcement, I-Mag, LCD display, teleconferencing, computer networking, etc.
