The risks arising from a changing climate, environmental degradation and urbanism are as yet unabated. Many practical answers are though emerging - that make sense commercially, for communities and the environment. I co-founded Accelar with the purpose of helping to accelerate the green transition. I advise companies and public sector clients to leverage green finance and pinpoint opportunities associated with reducing carbon emissions, improving climate resilience and enhancing natural capital.An active advocate of sustainability and the green economy, I am currently chair of Trustees at the Ecosystems Knowledge Network and an external advisor to organisations including the University of Surrey and Green Finance Institute’s Coalition for Energy Efficiency of Buildings (CEEB). As a qualified Executive Director (Chartered Director and Fellow of the Institute of Directors), I have defined and implemented commercially successful growth and diversification strategies in a variety of organisations from SMEs to global enterprises. My 28 years' of experience spans sectors including transport (rail/high speed rail, highways), energy and renewables, water, construction, smart cities, charities and government policy.
