As a Systems Analyst for the Systems Development and Maintenance team, I work on-site at the Department of State's Global Financial Services Center. I work closely with System Managers, Business Owners, Developers, and other Stakeholders to prioritize issues for a software release or hotfix. Perform requirements analysis and author design documentation on a range of applications, with a focus on financial/accounting systems. Primary responsibilities include: • Perform requirements elicitation and analysis via user groups, interviews, research and any other means at my disposal.• Draft requirements and design documents for existing and new systems.• Conduct end user testing of product releases and serve as a subject matter expert for customer issues. • Drafting proposals to resolve system and business process issues.• Provide subject matter expertise on software functionality and business processes.

• Responsible for the design, implementation and system execution of major company-wide computer information systems. Work closely with project management and business system analysts to design and construct efficient technical solutions to meet the needs of business partners. Ensure technical solution is successfully developed, tested, and implemented in accordance with company methodology.• Maintain and support a business critical IBM Mainframe application using COBOL, JCL, SQL, ORACLE, and SAS. The application archives all transactions processed by Capital One accounts, approximately 10 million, on a daily basis.• Provide consulting services to data analysts and statisticians as a subject matter expert on transactional data elements. Communicate effectively with them to understand and meet their needs for archived transaction data.
