Senior Product ManagerClearwater Analytics Mar 2020 - PresentBoise, Idaho, United StatesAs a Senior Product Manager at Clearwater Analytics, I have significant experience and expertise in developing and managing complex products. I'm responsible for developing two key products: the Security Manager and the Security Data Pipeline. As the Senior Product Manager for the Security Master tool, my team and I were responsible for consolidating seven disparate tools into one. It was a significant project as the goal was to provide our users with a single location to do their work while also including validation and consistency that did not exist before. To achieve this, we integrated a template system that performed validation and set required fields for each Security Type. We also added a research area so the team could work within the product rather than using SQL queries. Additionally, we added an impact metric of the error and a workflow component where an end-user could own an issue.Adoption of the Security Master tool was very high, with over 50% of the team using the product daily within a few weeks of launch. It resulted from extensive user testing and feedback, where we identified and addressed problems by rapidly prototyping our solutions. In addition, after the initial launch, we rapidly added enhancements based on feedback received. It included sorting, adding essential fields, and color-coding critical items. For the Security Data Pipeline, I faced challenges in gaining stakeholders' support due to the legacy tooling's success. However, I proactively addressed stakeholder concerns and communicated the business reasons for the change to the platform. For example, I identified technical libraries that needed to be deprecated and used a countdown timer to communicate the deprecation of the library. I also successfully expressed the need for change to stakeholders in a way that highlighted the impact on the entire business. -
Business Process AnalystClearwater Analytics Mar 2019 - Mar 2020Boise, Idaho AreaAs a Business Process Manager at Clearwater Analytics, I was responsible for several key initiatives that helped improve the company's operations and customer service experience. One of my primary responsibilities was onboarding the customer service team onto Salesforce Sales Cloud. The existing process of managing inbound requests from email and Jira was causing frustration for customers and managers, as requests would often get lost in email boxes. To address this issue, I led the successful implementation of Salesforce Sales Cloud for the customer service team. It involved matching the design of the existing process and conducting extensive training for the team. In addition, we worked with early adopters to perfect the process before rolling it out to the rest of the group. Despite facing some challenges and detractors who were unhappy with the new system, we addressed the feedback we received and made enhancements to improve the overall functionality of the tool. This included a redesign of our category classification, a client engagement model, and a way for the customer service team to refer new businesses to our sales department. We also worked with a Python developer to open secure emails within Salesforce, which saved the team hundreds of hours per year.I also built the reporting that our HR team used to manage resources. In addition, I oversaw the migration of the existing knowledge base to an enterprise technical writing platform and replaced the old knowledge base with a dynamic HTML5 knowledge base. It improved the user experience and made it easier for them to find the information they needed.Lastly, I worked with my team to develop a dynamic Clearwater website form that automatically pushes requests to Salesforce. This was a significant improvement as it included page data and other helpful information that didn't come in email requests. Unfortunately, due to my transition to a new role, I could not achieve adoption for this feature. -
