I worked as an applications and Citrix AppDNA Consultant, assisting Citrix’s many clients migrate their existing software portfolio's into the Citrix XenDesktop and VDI in a smooth and seamless manner. Having applications successfully migrated to new environments such as Windows 7 or 8, VDI, XenApp and XenDesktop with minimal disruption to users is essential in any software migration project and my role with Citrix was helping ensure that companies truly understood their application portfolio and were equipped to make the best decisions regarding the efforts required and different migration paths and strategies available. This was done through deployment of AppDNA and partner tools such as Lakeside Systrack and subsequent detailed analysis of current situations including discovery and rationalisation.Designing and Implementing good process and procedure's was essential as was regular meeting and presentation to key stakeholders.

Migration Consultant who provided application and SOE migration consultancy services and assisted with client migration and support of existing Windows environments to latest hardware and software.Road and Maritime Service was one of Gen-i’s largest clients and I worked onsite for four months helping migrate from Windows XP to Windows 7, App-V, SCCM and Citrix XenDesktop technology. I initially spent time working helping design new Windows 7 SOE ensuing it contained all relevant components. Implemented WDS, MDT and tested user state migration. Tested and deployed client pilot environments. Created and setup application packaging lab using new SOE and integrated with SCCM. Managed task sequences. Provided general technical project support including SCCM 2012, SQL server and general network troubleshooting. Helped with implementation of group policy settings.

Application specialist responsible for work allocation and dealing with the banking business in a very customer facing position. Evaluated and packaged hundreds of applications used globally by Macquarie bank into MSI format. Led the team responsible for all application deployments using SCCM 2007. Seconded to the Next Generation migration project as helping to ensure successful migration of all bank applications, users and SOE from Windows XP to Windows 7. Worked in end user computing team providing technical project support.
