Business Change Manager for St John working with NZ Governments Next Generation Critical Communications (NGCC) build of the Public Safety Network (PSN). Reporting directly to CIO (Deputy Chief Executive - Infrastructure) with the remit of ensuring that the PSN links into St John organizationally and technologically. Working with major emergency services partners NZ Police, Fire and Emergency NZ (FENZ) plus Wellington Free Ambulance to build a reliable communications system that enables agencies to meet New Zealanders needs in emergency situations and keep our workforce safe.Additional duties as Logistics specialist for St John in their National Crisis Coordination Centre (NCCC) during 2020 and 2021 NZ Covid Outbreaks. During 2021 Outbreak, I was the logistics lead and coordinated a logistics and procurement team, liaising with National coordinators and senior management in ensuring that St John front line operations had appropriate PPE and stocks for New Zealand ambulance.

Focus of the role is to represent field operations within IT and ensure that tablet applications and strategy is fit for purpose clinically and operationally.Role involves testing, validating and when required investigating applications under field conditions. Victims Support Worker (Volunteer) - trained in working with Police in supporting victims of crime and trauma.As a paramedic being used to providing support to families in their time of need including death, supporting my colleagues as a trained peer supporter, moving into victim support was a natural fit for me.I have been trained in a number of areas, from Trauma notifications, Family Harm, Sexual Harm, Homicide and Suicide Bereavement. I was heavily involved in the aftermath of the Whakaari/White Island eruption, spending four months in ICU and the National Burns Units supporting a number of the foreigners there and their families and for 18 months after they were repatriated back to their own counties. The work done by myself and the Victim Support team involved with Whakaari was formally recognised by the Australian Government.The skills used here support victims within our communities in their time of need enabling them to support themselves with guidance and information.
