I am an experienced and well respected IT Project Manager in the Financial Services industry who, over the last 12+ years, has built up a strong track record for successful delivery of a wide range of projects. I have managed infrastructure projects, application changes, major platform and data migration projects and application upgrades. These have ranged in size from under 100,000 to over 1.5 million pounds, involving teams either directly or matrix managed as well as 3rd parties/vendors - consisting of anything between 10-30 direct and indirectly reporting resources. Over this time I have gained extensive experience of infrastructure standards and the SDLC, delivering projects primarily using the Waterfall approach but also having exposure to Agile processes. I have also taken on Programme Management responsibilities, acting as an escalation point or mentor, whilst providing status updates and reporting to IT and Business Management. I am able to build strong relationships with people of different levels of seniority when working with project teams, engaging with Business partners and providing feedback to stakeholders. I also have extensive experience working with project teams in different locations (including multiple timezones) and external contacts in other countries with different cultures. Over the last few years I have been based in Cape Town, South Africa but have now returned to the UK. I am passionate about making a difference and ensuring that I am adding significant value in everything I do.
