Part of the QLS Logistics Group, Ecycle is one of four(4) appointed administrators of the National Television & Computer Recycling Scheme. This a co-regulatory arrangement with the Australian Government. In addition, Ecycle is committed to developing other green solutions including recycling of polystyrene, ewaste & fire extinguishers.

Fletcher Insulation is a cross-Tasman organisation with over 60 full-time staff and 100 sub-contractors, and a turnover of $25 million. STRATEGIC PLANNING: As National Business Manager I am responsible for developing and implementing key strategies to vertically integrate the business into the ‘supply and fit’ of insulation to new residential homes. In over 4 years in this role I oversaw and managed the evolution of the business from an insulation contractor to a supplier of energy efficiency solutions.My key responsibilities included:• Acquiring multiple businesses up the east coast of Australia and integrating into a public company• Developing a strategic document and commercial paper to support capital investment• Managing the marketing plan, sales strategy, and annual business plan• Managing the business requirements, including organisation structure, capital expenditure, property leases, and corporate governance

CAPITAL MANAGEMENT: As Commercial Manager I was responsible for $200 million of capital across Australia and Asia, including equipment supply, profits on sale of any used equipment, as well as procurement of all goods and services.My key responsibilities included:• Delivering the annual fleet sales budget and annual capital plan• Responsibility for data integrity and fleet charges for 15,000 units of equipment• Establishing roles and responsibilities for support staff, including professional development programs

ACQUISITIONS: I joined National Hire as Allight and AH Plant joined with the existing National Hire business. This process involved merging three different business models and cultures into one. My key responsibilities included:• Managing equipment to rationalise underperforming assets and procure equipment to meet demand• Developing a business plan and justification to expand the branch network • Implementing KPIs and actions to turn around the financial performance of underperforming branches• Developing and implementing a Sales Cadet program to generate sales leads as part of a sales succession plan

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Trackmedia is a niche business unit of Spotless Australia, a print management company. As 2IC to the General Manager I was responsible for profit turnaround and developing a business recovery plan for both NSW and QLD.

BUSINESS SALE: A significant part of my role was finalising the sale of Wreckair Hire to Coates Hire Ltd in 2002. I was involved all aspects of the sale, from development of the Information Memorandum to attending buyer briefings, establishing the data room, answering due diligence questions, and transfer of the essential business elements at settlement.

COMMERCIAL ADVICE: As 2IC to the State Manager, I provided commercial advice to 20 branches throughout Victoria and Tasmania. I drove a cost management program that analysed each profit centre, recommended remedial actions, engineered and developed new systems, and developed a strategic marketing and business plan.
