My role as Industry Liaison Coordinator is to build and maintain partnerships with external organisations, representing the creative students of audio, film, gaming, animation, design and web disciplines at SAE Institute, Melbourne. As part of the courses offered here at SAE, students are required to take part in a Work Placement program in the final term of their studies. The Work Placement Unit is designed to implement their skills in the real world, as well as helping students to build their industry network and to increase their job prospects. Equipped with the latest skills, we find that student can offer a lot back to their host organisations, with many students continuing into full-time employment. My specialty over the last 6 years has been in voice recording, editing and commercial production. As any sound engineer will tell you, it pays to be knowledgeable in every aspect of the trade. I am at home in the studio or behind a console in a large and loud venue. I also work independently as a producer, Front of House & Monitors engineer in venues around Melbourne including Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, (ex)Palace Theatre, and a vast array of sticky carpeted music hubs. Highlights include front of house engineer duties for Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group (the Mars Volta) and Le Butcherettes for their 2011 tour, as well as working stages at Soundwave, Laneway and St Kilda festivals to name a few, with bands such as Primus, Slash, Queens of the Stone Age, Violent Soho, Les Savy Fav, Iron Maiden, Monster Magnet, and local artists such as Witchgrinder, & The Mercy Kills.

Voice Farm specializes in voice & audio production for radio, T.V, web, and corporate productions. Overview:Working with major media networks across Australia has raised the bar and challenged my skill set. This role encompassed an A-Z production and sales role - from obtaining clients, right through to producing world class audio. A range of production methods and requirements ensured I was challenged daily - always under tight deadlines. This included sound for radio, television, corporate and web videos as well as jingle recording, mixing and mastering and producing audio for on hold messaging and IVR based phone systems. Running on average 20 recording sessions per week while balancing the sales and accounting to ensure targets were met was where I really thrived. Using my background in sales with my passion of gear and all things technical gave me great satisfaction.
