In this role I am responsible for 3 teams within the State of Minnesota MNIT organization: O365 Email - This team manages both the Exchange and O365 environments which process millions of emails each day. This team also is responsible for Identity Management, O365 Groups, Skype and other capabilities within the Microsoft On-Prem and O365 spaces. Mobile Device Management (MDM) - Leveraging tools such as Airwatch and Microsoft InTune, this team is responsible for the management of 10K user mobile devices that connect to State of MN data. BI Reporting - This team is focused on building and growing internal BI capabilities including a new data warehouse and reporting tools such as PowerBI and Crystal Reports.

My primary responsibilities were to develop and implement technologies to strategically align IT services with the business needs across the Total Logistics family of companies (Total Logistics Inc., Dedicated Logistics, Inc. Dedicated Logistics Services, Dedicated Logistics Warehousing and Total Visibility, LLC.) This includeded migration from on-prem Microsoft services such as Exchange, File Storage, Skype and SharePoint to Office 365, migration of internal application infrastructure and services to hosted cloud Azure services, migration of on-prem Active Directory services to Azure active directory, implementation of a data warehouse and reporting tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI and SSRS, implementation of the ServiceNow ITSM platform as well as the redesign of an internal windows-based mobile logistics management solution to the Android platform. Other duties included the daily management and mentoring of the IT organization including both direct reports and leaders with direct reports. These teams included Support, Systems and Infrastructure Administration, Software Development and the QA team. I was also responsible for the oversight the planning, procurement, implementation, operations, maintenance and obsolescence of technology assets. Oversee development of internal and external flagship customer applications and was a member of the TLI Senior Leadership Team.

The theme of my roles in my Target tenure focused on stability and support of major technologies impacting our stores and guests. Much of this time was focused on changing the way we support handheld technologies used in stores. Solutions included the development of new tools to bring actionable visibility to what was impacting stability in this technology area such as device issues, application issues, infrastructure issues and training issues. Moreover, this ultimately transitioned to the creation of an entirely new process and cross-pyramid team focused solely on the rapid support and response to issues with these critical technologies (including 100k mobile devices). These new processes successfully decreased issue resolution times by 80% and added over $1 mil in cost savings to Target in the first year.

Program Owner and Manager of new ServiceNow-based ITSM support tool used as a new strategy for providing near real-time support for internal clients. Drove cross-team collaboration efforts including both Target TMs and development vendor partners to move project forward based on Agile-based methodologies. Weekly reporting on all project milestones to key stakeholders.

Leadership of Level 2 application & mobile device global support team consisting of both Target team members and contractors located in Minneapolis and India. Established collaborative relationships with cross-functional business teams to create a more efficient workflow in order to streamline the support processes for critical Canada store technologies. Coordinated efforts to ensure bi-lingual capabilities were in place for supporting French speaking team members.

Created new support team and process for critical store applications - Reduced support times for these areas by over 50%. Leadership of the new Technology Operations Center focused on Target stores. Collaborated with partner teams to gain understanding of processes, offered assistance, and built solid foundational relationships with each member of the team. Managed and improved change control processes and served as alternate Executive Representative to the Executive Change Advisory Board (CAB). Drove critical Store mobility stability efforts including a 6SIGMA charter which led to a $3 mil all-Store handheld battery refresh project, development of a new mobile support team, and critical Store Server infrastructure improvements.
