Chris served as the Executive Director of the only statewide organization working to protect California's wildest places. As a contractor of the California Wilderness Coalition, I provided services well beyond that a Communications Director. My work included:- Producing all types of communications for the organization including press releases, email blasts, social media, and grants.- Serving as the California Wilderness Coalition's representative on Green California, a network of environmental, public health and social justice organizations. - Managing the organizational budget including creating proposed budgets for the board of directors and financial reports for foundations.- Developing and managing a development program through online platforms and major donor outreach. - Overseeing grant processes including proposals, budgets, and deliverables, and maintain relationships with foundation partners.

As the Campaigns Director, I played both a management and strategic role at The Next Generation (TNG). My work includes:- Managed the day-to-day operations including budget, staffing and client relations.- Served as a strategic advisor to clients particularly around campaign strategy and management including electoral candidates, non-profits, and other advocacy organizations. - Provided communications support for clients including message strategy, email blasts, social media support and strategic memos. - Managed the work of multiple staff members.- Worked on business development for TNG- specifically focused on environmental and sustainability-focused advocacy organizations.
