What makes me an effective engineer is my willingness and desire to learn new skills. DCMA has provided me a unique experience. I am proud that I can contribute to the success of several defense programs like Next Generation Jammer, GEO 5-6 and Next Generation GEO. My surveillance of the these has provided customers with actionable insight into the the programs current health and trajectory. I have also provided technical reviews of cost proposals where I recommended an average deduction of-30% from the total proposed hours potentially saving the government from over paying.While working at DCMA I completed my Masters in Applied Computer Science. I have done some light programming in MATLAB and LabVIEW prior to getting my Computer Science degree. My fascination with computers fueled me into pursuing software development. I believe this degree will open more exciting opportunities for me. I continue to program in my off hours and hope to make software development a full time job in the future.
