Chris Navin is a former Vice President at JPMorganChase with a background in information risk management, compliance, ethical hacking, computer security, and endurance sports - including a wide range of technology, endurance training, and metabolic performance testing expertise.After 8 years in financial services technology, “Coach Chris” spent 15+ years becoming a metabolic specialist and endurance coach - helping Chicago become nationally recognized as a hub for triathlon by founding a training center & human performance lab, recognized as the first and only USA Triathlon (USAT) Certified Performance Center in the midwest. Chris served as Head Coach & Endurance Program Manager for Fitness Formula Clubs (FFC) – overseeing a team of over 25 coaches across 10 premier health clubs in Chicago, generating over $1 million in endurance sports revenue. In 2016 he was awarded the prestigious Founder’s Award by the CEO of Fitness Formula Clubs (FFC) for his pioneering efforts and entrepreneurship in endurance sports and metabolic testing. Recently, Chris won the 2021 USAT “Entrepreneur Business Plan of the Year” award to create more urban accessibility and diversity in the sport - which ultimately led to the creation of the TRI312 Indoor Triathlon series!Chris led programs voted as “Best Club to Train for a Triathlon” (Examiner), “Best Gym” (CitySearch; Chicago Magazine), and “Best Health Club” five years in a row by Competitor Magazine (2012-2016). He's been featured in CLUB SOLUTIONS, USATRI, and MEN'S BOOK Magazine with appearances promoting endurance sports, metabolic testing, and the multi-sport lifestyle on WGN TV Channel 9, NBC Channel 5 Fit Club, and CBS 2 Chicago, and as guest speaker at IHRSA and Endurance Exchange conferences. Chris is owner and head coach of 4 STAR ENDURANCE, supporting Chicago’s women's-focused BFF BIKES shop, the xXx Racing-Athletico cycling team, and TEAM TO END AIDS (T2). Chris previously led the TriMonster club (2014 USAT Club National Champions), and coached the top female TEAM USA age-group triathlete to win the ITU World Championship in 2017. He is a 17-time TEAM USA qualifier, representing the United States at the ITU World Championships in various events from 2015-2024. Chris has raced over 125 triathlons and 400 endurance races, is also a Kona finisher, 41+ time marathoner, and 22+ time Ironman - ranking as high as 9th in the U.S. and 33rd in the World (Ironman Age Group Rankings). Most recently he’s claimed the 2023 USAT Illinois State Championship for his age-group (1st place, Men 40-44).
