My entrepreneurship journey started farther back than I can remember; apparently, when I was five years old. I collected rocks from the local creek, painted them and then glued bubble eyes & felt ears on. I went door to door selling “pet rocks” to neighbors. My first manufacturing and sales job did not last too long before I graduated on to bigger and better ventures like lemonade stands and paper routes. These early experiences led me to numerous “businesses” throughout my youth” cutting lawns, shoveling snow, car stereo installations, yard sales, etc. often “employing” my parents and siblings along the way. After spending some time in the Army and Air Force concurrent to college, my passion for business led me to partner with my parents in Teltek. It quickly became apparent that the kitchen table needed to be replaced with a proper boardroom table and my parent’s basement was getting too small around employee #3. While evaluating options for Teltek’s new home, I found myself struggling with the concept of paying someone rent each month. I realized I could be building equity instead. The decision was made to purchase a small multi-unit building for the new office. It was from that first Main Street building my excitement for real estate was born. Now some 20+ years later, running three businesses with several hundred nationwide clients, a handful of properties and an international team I often reflect on my career/life trajectory. This reflection routinely leads me to my passions: a life of continued learning, innovation, optimization and helping others. Providing business owners with reliable and efficient technologies, teaching adaptive swim lessons, and building epic Air BNB destinations are some of my favorite things to do. I am truly grateful for all the customers, employees, experiences, vendors, and friends that have been established over the years.
