Broadspectrum (formerly Transfield, and now part of the Ventia group) is a major service provider to the Resources, Infrastructure, Government and Utilities sectors and has over 15,000 local employees.Role Overview- Reporting to Chief Executive, Resources- Resources business covered $600m revenue; 3,000 employees. - Executive Leadership Team MemberLed strategic repositioning and growth of the business across projects, construction, maintenance, shutdowns, drilling, well servicing, facilities management and consulting service lines.Major clients included BHP, Bluescope, Chevron, ExxonMobil, FMG, Inpex, Origin Energy, Roy Hill, Santos, Shell and Woodside. Key Achievements• Played a key role in establishing the Ferrovial Global Centre of Excellence for Resources by driving incubation and development of a suite of differentiating technical innovations for maintenance, shutdown and construction works• Re-established the business’ position in the key market of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) maintenance, shutdowns and brownfield projects, winning new multi-year contracts with Inpex and Shell.• Restructured and re-focussed the business development approach and teams, resulting in a dramatic turn-around in the business’ contract win-rate.• Reinvigorated client relationship methods, resulting in the sole-source renewal of five key long-term contracts with BHP, Chevron and Shell.• Led a turnaround and repositioned the mining business, expanding work with key clients including BHP Iron Ore, FMG and BHP Olympic Dam.• Drove the development and negotiation of lower cost Enterprise Agreements which played a key role in several of the above key contract wins.
