Verbrec (formerly LogiCamms) is an Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) listed company (ASX: VBC) with a portfolio of service lines in engineering, project delivery, operations services and training in the Energy, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Mining, Water and Infrastructure sectors. Verbrec has offices across Australia and New Zealand and also operates in PNG and the Pacific.Appointed as CEO after the company experienced several years of losses and a declining share price. Led the successful turnaround and repositioning of the company, returned it to be a profitable, cash-generating business with strengthened financial position and significantly increased shareholder value. In 2 years grew revenue by 50% and converted a loss-making position into an annual profit of 9.7% of revenue. Improved cash conversion performance from 80% to 120% of EBITDA.Part of the strengthening was the successful merger with OSD Pty. Ltd. in June 2019 which improved the balance sheet (helping win larger contracts), reduced overheads (improving competitiveness and strongly lifting margins) and generated cross-sell opportunities.The merger and subsequent integration were both well planned and well executed. The Board was restructured and a new vision, mission, set of values, strategy, executive leadership team and organisation structure were all established and bedded in, and company rebrand commenced. Teams were blended, financial discipline was enhanced and the tendering processes and risk/governance and project oversight processes overhauled. Safety culture and processes were improved - and overall company culture was transformed.The company turnaround was completed, the merger bedded in, and the business set with a firm platform for further growth. The transformation of the company is evident from the FY20 financial results, and in the way the business successfully managed through the COVID-19 situation.

Role Overview:Manager of Almaty, Kazakhstan Operations for the joint venture delivering Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) for the Chevron (TengizChevrOil) US$37b Tengiz Expansion Projects: Future Growth Project (FGP) and Well-Head Pressure Management Project (WPMP).Key Achievements:• Held full executive accountability for all aspects of Almaty Operations, including establishment completion, growth and performance of the Project Office for the FEED and EPCM project phases. • Established the Almaty Engineering and Procurement Operation, built the leadership team (comprising expatriates and locals), implemented project systems, quadrupled staff numbers, and developed infrastructure systems (e.g. offices, IT systems, expatriate accommodation and transport).• Worked with Chevron to develop the execution strategy, including assessment and selection of sub-contractors to fulfil local content requirements.• Completed FEED deliverables ahead of schedule and under budget and set up operation for the EPCM phase.
