Leveraging my product knowledge of Intent with my passion for software design and development to offer customized solutions for clients in a range of industries.

Product designer for the Emerging Products and Technologies group on Autodesk Intent, and Autodesk Inventor Fusion. Responsibilities included design, specification, customer validation, and project management in a matrix management environment.Autodesk Inventor Fusion (2008 – 2009)- Lead designer for the 3D Annotations project working with development, QA and documentation staff in Portland, OR and Shanghai, China- Worked with usability team in multi-site usability testing program where we discovered and corrected multiple usability issues prior to first technology preview. Autodesk Intent (2007 – 2008)- Lead designer for the Intent-Inventor user interface redesign, a 19 month project with team members in Novi, MI, Portland, OR, Waltham, MA, and Shanghai, China. This project completely overhauled the iDev user interface to make it look and feel like an Autodesk product after the 2006 Engineering Intent acquisition, along with substantial improvements to product ease of use. - Lead designer for the Intent-AutoCAD user interface redesign, a six month project that leveraged work from the Intent-Inventor UI redesign to bring the AutoCAD application onto the new language and UI, along with a tighter AutoCAD integration.

- Lead designer on the Everest project, a two year project with up to 20 development, QA and documentation staff in Novi, MI, Portland, OR, and Shanghai China that extended the Inventor to read and write drawings in DWG format natively from the Drawing Manager application. Maintaining existing functionality was crucial while delivering AutoCAD DWG interoperability.- Lead designer on Drawing Styles, a 14 month project that redesigned/combination of several existing features while adding major new functionality. The project team of approximately 25 development, QA, product design and documentation staff was split between Novi, MI and Portland, OR.

In my eight years at Autodesk I held multiple positions. The first was product designer for AutoCAD Mechanical. - Lead designer on Mechanical Structure, an 18 month project with over 20 development, QA, and documentation staff in Michigan, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. This project touched almost every other feature in the product, requiring extensive product knowledge and coordination.

Created and delivered web-based seminars; managed tutorial creation for Time Mechanic, an online game that allowed users to learn at their own pace while having some fun.
