I represent companies and individuals under investigation or accused of white collar crimes, as well as clients involved in high stakes civil litigation. Drawing on my experience as federal prosecutors in Washington D.C. and Texas, I conduct internal investigations, counsel companies on compliance issues, and negotiate directly with government prosecutors and regulators. I also have many years of experience in civil litigation, which I use to defend my client's interests in federal and state courts across the nation on a wide variety of issues. For almost six years, I prosecuted a variety of federal crimes, with a focus on white collar and financial crimes. My prosecutions included crimes such as: health care fraud, Ponzi schemes, tax evasion, thefts of government property, bribes and kickbacks, human trafficking, embezzlement, drug conspiracies, and identity theft.

I assisted the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction (SIGIR) in his mission to detect fraud, waste, and abuse in the recontruction efforts of the United States in Iraq. I consulted with the IG and other top staff at SIGIR on both case-specific and overall strategic issues; assisted in fomulating the process of an extensive investigation of persons in the contracting arena with irregular financial transactions; and met informally with members of Congressional committees to offer ideas on how the United States might more effectively police reconstruction efforts.

Detailed by the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction to the Fraud Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, I prosecuted white collar crimes arising out of the U.S. Iraq Reconstruction effort. These cases focused on white collar crimes such as bribery/gratuities, kickbacks, production of defective war materials, theft of government property, conflicts of interest, and ancillary charges (such as wire/mail fraud and conspiracy) connected to these schemes.

Commercial litgation inlcuding work on the following subject matter: contractual disputes, products liability, deceptive trade practices, fraud in the sale of companies, trademarks, and patent litigation.
