As a board member and FD my wide remit at Lapicida included the whole accounting function (budgeting, reporting and cash flow mgt, KPI reporting) as well as HR, IT (Infrastructure/Web/ecommerce), H&S, Treasury/FX, Legal, Import/Export, Insurance, operational process for manufacturing/fabrication plus various company secretarial duties and many professional third party relationships. Working closely with the MD the business has grown successfully. Being involved on a daily basis regarding strategy to marketing has also been extremely satisfying. Facilitating and leading a successful VC/PE deal in 2011 ensured a multimillion pound investment to develop the brand and international outlets including a flagship store on the Kings Rd London.

Reporting to various directors at Plc level (London and Leeds) and managing £150m of project spend. Core projects covered EPOS, Core IT backbone infrastructure, online products and BAU IT spend.

Managing a finance team of 5 reporting to the FD. Day to day management of the finance funtion for the retail bank including UK and US reporting lines. Budget management and revenue forecasting for the UK. Other roles included lisaing with treasury and representing finance for internal projects.

Birmingham Office: Audit and Transaction services. Core clients included: Wolseley Plc, Severn Trent Plc, Powergen Energy Trading, Ford and Dupont UK.
