Chris has 28 years experience in various technical and leadership roles in the power generation, telecommunications and defence industries. Chris joined Boeing Defence Australia in 2004 and commenced with the Vigilare AIR5333 Air Battlespace Management System acquisition program, where he held a number of software and systems technical leadership roles.From 2008 he established and led a team of domain experts, software & systems engineers, and integration & test specialists responsible for delivering the certified integrated Tactical Data Links functionality of the Vigilare System.From 2011, Chris was the Vigilare System Architect, & Design Engineer, and in 2012 Chris established Boeing Defence Australia's Tactical Data Link Service team which is responsible for in service support of the Tactical Data Links capability of the Vigilare System, E-7A Wedgetail, and a number of other ADF Platforms and Systems. From 2015 Chris was the Mission Systems Upgrade Lead in Australia with the AIR5077 Phase 5A interoperability upgrade program for the E-7A Wedgetail, and from 2017 Chris was the Mission System Engineering Capability Leader in Australia for Boeing's AEW&C business. From April 2019 Chris was the Chief Engineer for the Joint Systems Business Unit and from June 2022 through to September 2023 Chris was the acting Company Chief Engineer at Boeing Defence Australia. Chris is currently the Engineering Manager for BDA's Joint Systems Business Unit.He has formal qualifications in engineering (electronics) and information technology from the Queensland University of Technology.
