I specialize in providing air quality consulting services to manufacturing industries. With a strong knowledge of the air permitting process, I provide assistance to industrial clients for addressing air permitting requirements associated with capital projects, while focusing on optimization of the client’s business flexibility and compliance requirements.Since joining Trinity in January 2011, I have advised clients in a variety of industries, including pulp and paper, liquefied natural gas (LNG) distribution and storage, nylon production, contact lens manufacturing, cement production, vegetable/soy oil extraction and refining, metal polishing, fiberglass insulation manufacturing, kaolin manufacturing, chemical/resin manufacturing, polystyrene foam packaging manufacturing, aerospace manufacturing, and asphalt and roofing products. I have experience in developing permit applications for Title V operating permit renewals, state construction permits, and state operating permits. I have also assisted facilities in completing semiannual compliance reporting, annual compliance certification reports, and Information Collection Requests (Section 114).

Analyzed regulations applicable to several operations including toner, photoreceptor, and fuser manufacturing for use in new web-based compliance tracking system. Performed applicability determination of new stationary engine regulatory requirements for Xerox facilities nationwide. Analyzed new mandatory greenhouse gas reporting rule for industrial waste landfills and performed methane generation calculation for on-site landfill.

Region 5, Air Enforcement and Compliance Assurance Section (MN/OH)Investigated coal-fired power plants, metallurgical coke plants, and steel mills for violations of the Clean Air Act. Performed excess emission calculations, created Notice and Finding of Violation documents, and prepared referrals to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Materials and Tests Unit, Soils LaboratoryPerformed analysis of soil and aggregate samples. Completed standard sieve analysis with a RO-TAP shaker. Used several tests in order to determine soil properties including compression and compaction tests as well as triaxial tests. Cleaned and prepared testing area on a daily basis, prior to drying and processing of specimens. Performed data analysis on results of soils and aggregate testing.

Energy and Environmental Management CenterResearched and analyzed several international and national energy standards for use in seminars and company evaluations. Performed calculations of energy use and conservation statistics. Reviewed and analyzed U.S. Environmental Protection Agency programs and protocols, and U.S. Department of Energy programs.
