I am a capital project and strategic operations specialist, and business consultant in the arts, creative enterprise and charity sectors, specialising in structuring capital projects and managing the maintenance and assets of public buildings – ensuring organisational efficiency and optimum use of complex and multi-function spaces. My work encompasses capital projects, organisational development, licensing, accounting, governance, HR, Health & Safety and IT, with clients including Tate Modern, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the South London Gallery, the House of Illustration, Ministry of Stories, The Art Fund, the Vortex Jazz Foundation, and the Money Advice Service. Before joining Counterculture I was Head of Strategic Operations at the Whitechapel Gallery – which included work managing its £13.5 million capital project. Previously I worked in local government, operations management for the technology industry and in media PR. With a Diploma in Business Practice from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, I am also fully NEBOSH trained in Health & Safety with a Personal Licence, and a BA in Modern History, Economic History & Politics from the University of London. In my spare time (!!!) I am a practicing musician, a director of the charity and label NMC Recordings, and an adviser to music charities. I'm passionate about technology, visual arts and books, and have written articles for publications including Computer Weekly and the Garden Museum Journal.
