In January of 2021 the Company Board of Directors asked that I assume the role of CEO, tasking me with turning around what was essentially a failed start-up.Working tirelessly with the Company Controller and Chief Commercial Officer (and in conjunction with vendors, stakeholders, and clients), we developed and executed a plan that immediately resulted in reduced expenses and increased revenue, returning the Company to near-break even in the 2nd quarter. In April of ‘21 one of our vessels suffered an accident which placed Her out of service, resulting in a catastrophic loss of revenue. This situation created headwinds that were too great to overcome, and the Company Board of Directors elected to wind down the Company in June ‘21. Formerly known as Work Cat Trans Gulf (WCTG), Work Cat Florida is a short sea shipping operation that provides trans-Gulf of Mexico container transportation services between the ports of Tampa, Florida and Brownsville, Texas.My primary responsibilities included all aspects of land and marine operations, including vessel scheduling and adherence, coordination of support services, managing the allocation, utilization/balance and maintenance of (550) containers and (165) chassis, and collaborating with stakeholders in the pursuit of identifying operational efficiency opportunities for improvement. I retained this role after accepting the interim CEO position in January of 2021.

First Source Business Finance was idled in the 4th quarter of 2012 after the loss of two key funding relationships, and it's portfolio folded into First Source Funding, Inc. for run off purposes. FSBF had a direct focus on providing financial services to small and mid-size businesses, especially in the small ticket arena ($10,000 - $750,000). FSBF concentrated in certain capital asset segments such as transportation, construction, agricultural, manufacturing, and medical. In addition, syndication relationships developed over the last ten years allowed FSBF to place equipment transactions greater than $750,000. Products offered include leases (TRAC, FMV, First Amendment, and Finance), EFA's, conditional sale agreements, and private label programs.

Initially formed this company with my father in an effort to bring the recovery and remarketing activities for First Prime Capital in-house.
