Primary Responsibilities• Serve as primary liaison between the production site and global supply chain team for long-term asset planning as well as near-term detailed production scheduling.• Work closely with the site production scheduler to optimize the production schedule to ensure meeting customer needs while minimizing product transition costs and maximizing asset yields.• Serve as a backup to the production scheduler as necessary.• Interface with operations and maintenance leadership of multiple production areas to alleviate constraints that arise through changing customer needs and/or changes to asset availability.• Work closely with the MRP team to resolve any supply constraints and ensure accuracy of related production master data (BOMs, recipes, etc.).• Lead daily production gap process to identify assets performing below capability and direct technical, operations, and/or maintenance resources as necessary to resolve.• Serve as SAP Super User with primary expertise in our business intelligence tools and responsibilities to resolve interface issues between SAP and our shop floor systems.

Initially a special assignment, this role as SAP Super User was intended to gain expertise in a new implementation of our ERP system and revised work processes, work with other Super Users to train the site on how to use the new system, work between end-users and IT to problem-solve during the migration between systems, and finally support the organization with any training or other needs following go-live.This opportunity has allowed me to gain a lot of experience with site production scheduling, including using SAP's APO system. Additionally, my role as Super User has grown to include P&QM responsibilities, primarily troubleshooting interface errors between SAP and shop-floor-systems and work with IT for solutions.

Accomplishments* Completely redesigned the daily/weekly process for detailed planning and scheduling for the S&F area, including using and training others to use advanced SAP tools to more effectively meet specific planning and scheduling objectives. This included setting clear expectations for people's roles within the process and ensuring all know the importance of their role in it. This process is being considered as a model for other areas at the plant.* Led weekly S&F Asset Availability Look-Ahead meeting in which we discussed upcoming production demand, significant maintenance items, mechanical integrity inspections, area projects and availability of key assets.* Developed a maintenance backlog analysis tool in Excel for S&F, which automatically extracts the entire backlog for the area and allocates each work order into categories to allow more efficient planning and scheduling. This enabled us to track various metrics such as backlog size, age, compliance, etc., through a dashboard which will help identify other planning and scheduling improvements. (Backlog work orders started at ~1,650 in January 2015 and as of November 2015, we were at ~750 work orders.)* Identified as a Camden Site SAP Super User for a company-wide SAP upgrade project. Had responsibility for learning the new Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools and being able to transfer knowledge back to others at the Camden Site.* I stepped in to take over the BCF production planning board responsibility until our BCF Production Scheduler was in place (starting in January). I was instrumental in getting the initial production schedule set up and mitigating risk to the operating plan during the SAP cutover.
