There's some background information here that's designed to help you understand my bias!Having had an embedded role within a single Olympic sport for 22 years and 5 Olympic cycles, whilst working alongside multiple high profile brands across many commercial sectors, I've got a unique knowledge of the psychology of success in these challenging and rewarding environments. By working with coaches and athletes to plot Olympic success alongside boards and front line staff in organisations, I've been able to support the development of high performing people's thinking to sit alongside the meticulous additional expertise that is already brought to the table by these diverse performers. My approach has had to be hugely practical, harnessing the simple (but not easy) ingredients of what it takes to deliver sustained success. Feedback consistently highlights my strong ability to tailor general concepts to the specific reality of the environments people perform in, and as a result valuable impact is delivered in already successful arenas.Back in the day, I was awarded a PhD in Psychology from the University of Brighton (1995) and in 2014 I was awarded an Honorary Professor by Staffordshire University, which is something I’m still very chuffed about.I've convinced myself I’m creative, quick-witted, calm, intelligent(ish), strong at presenting, coaching and problem-solving.
