As an experienced creative communicator, I have spent 20+ years building brands and developing customer communications, mainly at large multinational agencies and directly with brands in Australia and Asia. Currently, I am employed by AGL Energy as Brand Lead and have spent the past four and a half years advising the business on best practice brand strategy and execution. I started my career as an art director and over the journey I have worked as an art director, copywriter, creative director and brand lead. An enthusiastic and proactive results driven leader, my collaborative approach empowers, motivates and drives teams to achieve business goals. I have developed and implemented the creative and strategic course for many brands across various categories, that have achieved communication and ROI goals whilst building brand equity. I’m adept and comfortable working in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with the ability to balance urgent responses alongside longer-term bigger picture strategic focuses. In October 2023 I moved into the AGL People and Culture team to build the employer brand function and lead the recruitment and retention of AGL’s talent. This has seen me develop the FY25 EVP strategy and create the delivery plan for execution, with improved gender balance and increased First Nations recruitment a particular focus. A highlight has been recently launching a segmented First Nations EVP to attract and retain the very best Indigenous talent. At AGL I’ve been elected to the Chairmen position of our Reconciliation Engagement Network and lead a team of 25 volunteers in delivering on our RAP commitments. This position requires me to be part of the Diversity and Inclusion Council which has helped me build working relationships with the CEO, CCO and COO.My work has been recognised at both local and international award shows including the Sundance Film Festival and in 2022 I was nominated for the Changemaker Award at the Equality Alliance Awards. I recently completed a graduate diploma in Psychology from the University of Melbourne, launched myshout.me, a company that allows you to shout your friends a beer anywhere in Australia and have volunteered as a research assistant at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
