Chris is a Consultant Civil Engineer in the water industry with over 25 years of experience delivering a broad range of projects, with particular focus on surface and wastewater network analysis, optioneering, detail design and management of solutions with widely varied construction methods.As a Project Leader on a Design and Construct Framework responsibilities for a variety of schemes which include:• Septic Tank Pollution Schemes.• Pressure Main Replacement - Small, medium and large diameter rising main replacement schemes, utilising self-anchoring pipework, directional drill, guided auger bore, under pressure connections and line stops.• First time sewerage connections, including package treatment plant.• New Roads and Street Works Act (NRASWA) schemes, modifying client assets to enable Highway upgrade schemes.• Untreated Discharges.• Reservoir Remedial Works.• Pollution SchemesA Design Engineer of schemes including pressured and gravity pipelines, tunnels, combined sewer overflows (CSOs), pumping stations, flood protection projects including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) solutions and storm attenuation. Experience also includes analysis of STW operation to optimise performance and watercourse flooding solutions whilst minimising risk and environmental impact. As a Project Manager Chris is responsible for developing and controlling programmes and budgets as per the contract, to achieve the clients’ deadlines, financial and regulatory commitments. He co-ordinates the inputs of a multi-disciplinary design team to ensure successful delivery.Construction supervision, as ECC Supervisor under NEC3 contracts, responsibilities are to ensure works are complete in accordance with the contract through testing, inspections and notifying defects.
