I strongly believe in advocating for individuals with disabilities both physical and mental in nature. I would one day like to speak in public schools educating on the importance of acceptance and tolerance of others. I am also interesting in the plight of homelessness including "the working poor" I recently published my first e-book of a collection of poetry I have personally written. I am hoping to donate proceeds from my book to American Red Cross Disaster Relief in efforts to assist those affected by recent natural disasters. My book is entitled Why Do Angels Cry? It is available for download on Amazon Kindle at www. amazon.com. I am currently looking for a part-time job to supplement my income. I am currently working with In Home Support Services as a part-time caregiver. I am struggling to find employment in my chosen career due to the economy and many budget cuts and funding for programs in my field. As a result, I am looking to step outside of my comfort zone and currently looking for jobs outside my chosen field of social work and mental health. I do have over two years of professional experience working directly with individuals with chronic mental illness. If I am able to find part-time employment in that area, that would be great for me. I am also currently learning Latin American Spanish independently. I hope this will allow me to become fluent in writing and speaking Spanish.
