At Material Union, a boutique textile recycling facility in Austin, Texas, we give new life to discarded clothing, home goods, and textiles. We begin by carefully sorting through donations, redistributing what we can to support unhoused and refugee communities. The rest is transformed into high-quality products like stuffing, pillows, napkins, cleaning rags, and even unique, bespoke clothing pieces.In this part time role, I lead the design of our sustainable products, manage inventory, and cultivate partnerships with non-profits to ensure usable items find a meaningful purpose. Together, we’re turning textile waste into opportunities for our community and the planet.

As a part of the Hypergiant Space Age Solutions Division, I worked directly with clients from Fortune 500 companies-- providing understanding, creation, and implementation at the intersection of experience and machine intelligence. As a Designer at Hypergiant, I worked with the design and strategy department to understand the business needs of our clients, translate them into a design that solves the problem in a modern and elegant way, while accounting for accessibility and end user needs.Some projects I worked on at Hypergiant (that I'm allowed to talk about) include an algae bioreactor that sequesters carbon dioxide, a heads-up display helmet for first responders, and a next-generation space suit.

I had the pleasure to work with the amazing, local coding school, Austin Coding Academy to bring a new track of web and user experience design to their curriculum! This track is for people who want to design beautiful web experiences that powerfully cater to user's needs. We designed a 10 week course teaching students the fundamentals of design thinking, usability, accessibility, user research, product testing, typography, color theory, crafting delightful user experiences, and intuitive user interface design. Additionally we covered material on CSS frameworks, building custom web templates, static page generation, and how to successfully freelance.

I worked with a team of super talented product designers, engineers, and developers to provide a spectrum of scalable services across multiple, large scale projects that ranged from go-to-market planning to product design, development, and launch. Together with their industry knowledge, manufacturing facilities, and history of greatness in STEM education; as well as our own experience in robotics, we will help push humanity forward in regards to STEM education.Robotics U is a platform for excellence in education. Our robotics sets aren't a one-off building experience. They encourage children to innovate while walking them through a series of lessons that teach them the fundamentals of robotics. Children build, play, learn, and innovate.

Led a team of product designers and engineers in discovery-driven product development for SkunkworxLab. Worked directly with clients to conduct user and market research, lead design workshops, and build highly secure, large-scale applications that served millions of users. Experience consisted of enterprise projects involving transaction processing, payment systems, member management, hospitality, machine learning, security, data analytics dashboards and Blockchain/ distributed ledger technology.

Lead a small, but mighty team of creatives to design apps and build websites for entrepreneurs, conferences, and awesome people in the Austin area. Our strengths are in Web Design, HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript/ jQuery Dojo, having fun, and lots of Wordpress. Worked with dozens of clients to design, build, and deliver modern, responsive websites. This included creating wire-frame layouts, CSS styling, frontend development, website hosting, maintenance, and UX audits and recommendations.

Responsible for co-organizing the first Bitcoin conference at SXSW Interactive 2015, including ideating the event, forming the team, creating content, marketing, booking speakers, and fundraising/ finding sponsors. Bitcoin at SXSW 2015 is a full day of official SXSW Interactive content surrounding one of tech's hottest trends. Leaders from the top companies in the Bitcoin Industry will meet for an official SXSW Interactive Spectacular! 20 speakers, 5 sessions, and 1 full day of Bitcoin content.
