I’m in charge of all IDC publishing operations for Asia/Pacific, and shared-services publishing operations for Japan and Latin America. I manage and lead all regional publishing staff and outsourced/support teams, including casual workers (independent contractors, interns, and fixed-term staff) and service providers (translators, custom research writers) in their execution of duties, which include editorial, data checking, formatting, classification review/tagging, metrics tracking and generation, translation, research product coordination, project management, and education and training. I also manage the translation team supporting mainly Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) to English and vice versa. My team supports IDC's Continuous Intelligence Service (CIS) documents and all subscription documents, data and analytics (Competes and Qual reports), and Custom documents (such as infographics, white paper, spotlights, to name a few), as well as analyst profiles, internal comms copies, press releases, survey questionnaires, analysts' official social media content, among others. Until June 2023, I was also managing EMEA publishing and graphics design services. Until 2022, whenever there were no PH-based operations managers in IDC Philippines, I was the default go-to-person for office-related operations and management work. My role allows me to coordinate with various departments, such as HR, whenever I'm assisting with recruitment for my team and other teams, and previously coordinated with them of development of staff, implementing policies and procedures, and devising training programs; Marketing, on support for press releases, marketing collaterals, analyst writeups, and providing necessary info for use in promotions, events, etc.; Research teams; the Product Management team; the IDC MarketScape team; and colleagues from the WW and regional publishing groups.From 2022 to present, I report to the Vice President for WW Publishing and Client Services.

I’m in charge of all IDC publishing operations and product management for Asia-Pacific and the offshore/shared-services operations for Japan (publishing), Latin America (publishing), and EMEA (publishing and design services), and WW/US (technical training support, client segmentation, and services and product management).I also manage the translation team supporting mainly Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) to English and vice versa. My team supports IDC's Continuous Intelligence Service (CIS) documents and all subscription documents, data and analytics (Competes and Qual reports), and Custom documents (such as infographics, white paper, spotlights, to name a few), as well as analyst profiles, internal comms copies, press releases, survey questionnaires, analysts' official social media content, among others. From 2012 to 2018, I managed all IDC offshore teams, including non-publishing, that were based in the IDC Philippines office, which included the WW technical training/IDC Education support and services, WW product management, and U.S. marketing database support teams. From 2012 to 2016, I was in charge of product management, fact sheets, and the research schedule. Additionally, I am the default go-to-person for IDC Philippines' office-related operations and management work in the absence of a local operations manager.In this role, I report to the Vice President of Business Operations.

Overall responsibility includes management of publication processing, maintenance, and distribution of IDC Asia/Pacific documents, produced as standard research products. Specific responsibilities include managing the process and staff in execution of editorial duties, including editing for grammar, style, terminology, data consistency, and formatting, in alignment with global IDC protocols and regional protocols established; managing and leading all regional PS&T staff and outsourcing/support teams for IDC Japan and IDC EMEA; and managing full-time and casual labor, and service providers such as translators. The role also entails providing education and training support on grammar, writing, IDC style, and IDC research architecture to IDC’s market analysts and other members of IDC’s research community.

I was on top of the development, editing, and production of textbooks, work books, skills books, and other types of instructional materials catering to both private and public schools. I headed the book publishing department (EDP), which is made up of the following subdepartments: Book Development (the team in charge of sourcing manuscripts and contracting book authors and writers), Editorial (divided into teams for the different academic subject areas - English, Filipino, Math, Science, Social Studies), Art department (a team of layout artists, illustrator, and graphics designers, and headed by the Art Director), Production (in charge of post-editorial processes, such as applications for copyright, etc.), and Government (in charge of books meant for public schools and submitted to DepEd).
