-Responsible for enhancing Google Fiber’s OSP/ISP products and build techniques. This was accomplished through in-house design development, working with vendors for new innovations, and managing contract manufacturers to produce high-impact solutions to OSP/ISP issues

-Promoted within 1 year of start date-Redesigned the previous product to improve performance, manufacturability, and cost on next generation products: including PCA & mechanical fits, reduction in number of unique parts & fasteners, structural integrity, thermal (transient/ steady state) & airflow analyses (FEA, CFD, & extensive lab testing), ease of manufacturing & assembly.-Reduced the number of screws in the original design (from over 1600) by approximately 60% to next generation by incorporating better sheet metal design techniques and improving alignment features, and significantly reduced the number of unique parts based on a system-level design approach. 3rd generation will continue to have significant reduction in screws and improvement of assembly integrity.-Perform tolerance analyses on part designs to receive correctly manufactured parts the first time, and create clear manufacturing instructions on the part and assembly drawings to improve assembly fit.-Perform first assembly and first article inspections of new parts, with clear documentation of issues and solutions.-Took prototype product through EMI / EMC pre-scanning with subsequent design modifications.-Collaborating closely with the thermal engineer, manufacturing, and electrical engineering teams to provide holistic design solutions supported by the entire company.
