I joined the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust in January 2024 as a Fundraiser (Trusts and Corporates) working with trusts and foundations and our corporate supporters to raise funds to help young people aged 8-24 believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer.The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a national charity that supports young people during their cancer recovery - once cancer treatment ends, our work begins. Through sailing and outdoor adventure trips, young people gain a new sense of purpose, rediscover independence, and feel optimism for the future. This helps rebuild confidence to get back into education and employment. The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust activities provide an opportunity for young people to connect and make new friends, so they do not feel like the ‘only one’.Prior to joining the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, I worked in the legal sector for 10 years, primarily as an employment solicitor.
