I assumed the role of licensing manager after being promoted through the ranks of the product development and editorial team, having established relationships with key partners (2K, Activision Blizzard, Capcom, Pokémon, Sony, UFC, and Warner Bros.) and was responsible for half the licensing book of business for our division worth roughly $30 million in annual revenue and built through 20-30 contracts annually. I developed partnerships for translations and distribution throughout Europe by leading weekly meetings with both our international licensing team and a translation partner, a first for our division.

Being promoted to this role granted me more responsibility and higher-profile projects like the World of Warcraft Official Strategy Guide, an exhaustive 400-page book. I was forced to up my game and further develop my skills in project and product management, editing, and relationship building. I attended the first BlizzCon, releasing our World of Warcraft Atlas, a project on which I spearheaded development. Our products were extremely well-received and the beginning of a tentpole product line for our company.
