Drove innovation for 600-employee, commercial, residential mortgage and consumer loan due diligence and risk management services provider with offices in the US and India. Evolved the IT department to focus around a multi-year strategy, which allowed for the adoption of Agile software delivery model, reduced IT downtime to less than 0.05%, rolled out digital automation, and provided ISO & SOC compliance. IT was struggling to support 20% YoY growth. There was no IT roadmap, and client security demands were not being met. Designed roadmap aligning IT to Opus’ business goals. Increased product releases, reduced IT downtime, reestablished IT support relationship with business units, and cut IT spending by 5% ($500K).Jumpstarted migration of commodity-based services to SaaS/cloud providers. Opus used unsupported versions of MS Exchange and SharePoint due to data sensitivity, requiring internal support. Both programs suffered from technical outages. Initiated move to MS SaaS. To reassure clients about security issues of hosting email with personally identifiable information (PII) in the cloud, demonstrated security provided by MS O365. Achieved 100% uptime and broke down perceived barriers to cloud adoption.Assured data security for mobile communications. Field personnel used unsecured laptops and personal smartphones to connect to Opus email system, potentially exposing sensitive data. Clients’ security audits required that all mobile systems be secured. Set up VPN (virtual private network) configuration with a primary data center. Added bit-locker encryption and enterprise security software. Assessed and chose mobile device management (MDM) service offering. Mobile personnel could now securely access key information on the network when traveling or at a client site. Helped ensure the company met our many clients’ stringent security requirements.

With international expansion of GTI, a new knowledge management (KM) system was needed to share key information about each member firm in its global network to be used for ‘pitching’ new work. Utilized SharePoint 2010 for its ability to store and categorize searchable information. Enabled collecting of marketing materials to go from days to just hours. Designed a web-based membership services platform that allowed for multiple months, annual and daily membership services (Dental Clubs, Auto Clubs, Extended Insurance, Dinning Clubs...). Built a merchandise servicing system that facilitated full-life-cycle of managing customer merchandise requests from acquisition through fulfillment and shipping. Designed as a web-based platform modeled on a SaaS type architecture that allowed for reselling of the software and drove additional revenue. First web-based e-commerce system that allowed the usage of gas card ( Mobil, Shell....) to make online merchandise purchases. Enabled the company to migrate away from the mail insert business, to an online and email marketing model (Universal Merchandise System).Built a full-service 3rd party payment platform that removed the need for each system to manage the complexity of billing to multiple different billing networks(s) to a B2B model. This architecture could support numerous payment networks (Paymentech, Visa, each major oil network, Sears...) and different payment actions (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly). Was architected as a SaaS model and was sold to other companies and facilitated additional revenue for the organization.
