Following a 20 year career in Media, I retrained following a move to Dorset from London in 2017 to take up initially a role supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex behavioural issues then supporting individuals with complex needs around drug and alcohol misuse within a multi-agency initiative called Reach Out (Shelter, The Bus Shelter, The Lantern Trust, Julian House and Reach), assertively engaging with and supporting those primarily that are homeless and/or at risk of being made homeless. I currently work as a Mental Health professional supporting people in a step down accommodation following their discharge from structured mental health treatment in hospital and/or a psychiatric unit, aiming to prepare them for a return to home and integration back into their community (using trauma informed care in a psychologically informed environment). In my spare time, I am a Civilian Instructor for 874 Sherborne Squadron RAFAC, Dorset and Wiltshire Wing.As a media executive in my past life, I was a multi-faceted media executive with experience in acquisitions, co-productions, programming, production, distribution, broadcasting, business development, sponsorship and new/digital media.Specialities: Content sourcing, editorial management, co-financing/co-production, contract/deal negotiation, production management, channel strategy/implementation, channel launching, business development, sponsorship and programme sales.
