Worked as a graduate research assistant for a tobacco research lab in the OSU college of public health division of epidemiology

While in the Public Health Associates Program, I was assigned to the Cincinnati City Health Department where I focused on communicable disease surveillance. - Produced regular weekly and monthly communicable disease surveillance reports for internal and external partners.- Conducted disease outbreak investigations and additional data analysis alongside the communicable disease nurses and a team of epidemiologists.-Developed a 30+ page five-year communicable disease surveillance report including an in-depth analysis of trends and the emergence of Candida Auris, COVID-19 in Cincinnati.-Created a 20-page MPOX healthcare provider guidance toolkit including several vaccine request forms, patient monitoring guidance, and flowcharts to guide several reporting and requesting procedures both locally and for the state. This toolkit was shared with local partners and health departments across the state.- Led the creation and development of an interactive disease surveillance dashboard on PowerBI.-Led the surveillance efforts for the ongoing outbreaks of Candida Auris in Southern Ohio, and worked with state-level partners to develop epidemiological strategies to track cases of Candida Auris.-Contributed to the design of a community health survey shared with internal and external partners to inform the contents of a community health assessment and re-accreditation.-Contributed to the 2021 Community Health Assessment data and analysis update for reaccreditation.

Deployed with the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting Systems team, assisting in the acquisition of medical records, communication with health facilities and assisting with vaccine effects investigations.

- In a team of four students developed an organizational overview and conducted SWOT analysis - Crafted a strategic action plan and logic model for the organization’s next several years - Developed marketing tools and implementation plan for organizational growth and sustainability

-Served patrons at course reserves desk, handled checkout and account management- Organized shelves and pulled books for checkout upon request- Managed collections of 8,000+ books and academic materials

Assisted with the management of the sustainable garden program at Horace Mann Elementary. Maintained the aeroponic growing towers throughout the summer, including germinating seeds, planting, and tending crops. Also worked to maintain, grow, and harvest the gardens throughout the property.

Research on cancer statistics in the Washington D.C area including mortality, determinants, CAM treatments, and an overall view of the impact of cancer in D.C. That research was compiled and used for grant applications for the nonprofit.
