Grew overall revenue by 64% over four years from $854,000 to $1.4 million and in the process eliminated an accumulated deficit resulting in year-after- year surpluses. Over four years grew Interpreting Services revenue by 115% or $271,000.Secured 3 multi-year funding arrangements two of which totaled $150,000 and one for $179,000.Expanded ASL Interpreting Services from a municipal (Calgary) to a provincial program, as a result negotiated eight provincial and two federal contracts.Developed a program delivery partnership model that resulted in IBM partnering with DHHS to develop project management tools and a social media strategy.Leveraged DHHS as one of ten benefiting agencies in Calgary to participate in a Human Resources development program. As a result, new human resource policies and procedures were developed, as well as a comprehensive H.R. strategic plan.Strengthened relationships with stakeholders and community members including the Calgary Association of the Deaf, Alberta Association of Interpreters and the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association.

Increased revenue from $7.6 million in 1998 to $18.5 million in 2006 for the Canadian Cancer Society, Alberta/NWT Division by leading integrated, long-term provincial strategy to generate new sources of funds.Principal Director of a $15 million capital campaign to build two cancer support centres involving fundraising, land acquisition, project management, marketing and government relations.Canadian Cancer Society’s national account manager for several major gift, multi-year sponsorships including TELUS, Petro-Canada, Husky Energy, and TWC Financial.Solid development experience in all areas of resource development including Capital Campaign, Leadership Giving and Major Gifts solicitation, Government Relations, Marketing and Communications, Planned Giving/Personal Giving, Strategic Alliances, Direct Mail, Monthly Giving Clubs, Donor Relations and Grants and Foundations. Initiated a National Major Gift Fundraising Campaign for cancer research which included market research, field testing and the implementation of key messaging.

As President of the General Hospital Foundation in Calgary, led the organization to revenue results of an all-time high of $3 million, while managing operating expenses to 19% under budget for the year.In the position of President, spearheaded the restructuring of the Calgary General Hospital Bow Valley Centre programs and services to the Peter Lougheed Centre.Responsible for planning and directing all fundraising projects for the Foundation to achieve the objectives of the Hospitals and Foundation.Liaised with senior administration, medical staff, hospital directors and the Hospital Board and Foundation Board for the purpose of addressing current hospital and community issues as they related to fundraising.Implemented, in conjunction with hospital executives and board members, the establishment of the Calgary General Hospital Foundation. Developed and implemented Legacy Fund initiatives to commemorate the closure of the Calgary General Hospital’s Bow Valley Centre resulting in strategic alliances with stakeholders such as medical and nursing societies.
