My responsibilities included reviewing/approving incoming endorsements on all lines of commercial property/casualty insurance business for the Small Business Operations department. I prepared referrals to UW, handled agency calls, and assisted other UA's in endorsement handling.

I was the UW for the states of IN, VA, and SC for the first year (2000). I was then the UW for just the State of Kentucky as it was our largest state at the time (2001 to -). I was later assigned additional agents in the state of Alabama in addition to KY. My responsibilities included reviewing submissions from agents, and preparing eligible risks for quoting purposes per our UW guidelines. I also handled renewals, endorsement reviews, inspection reports, maintained/supported agency relationships, assisted the VP of UW in secretarial duties, presented a Powerpoint slideshow at our annual conference from 2003 to 2009, and I traveled with the marketing rep for my territories to visit different agents in KY/AL. I acquired the AU designation in 2005, and the CLCS designation in 2008.

I was originally hired as a Receptionist - answered the company phone, greeted/directed any public visitors in the office, assisted other employees in secretarial duties. In 1992 I accepted the position as Policy Typist, and then in 1996 I accepted the position as an Underwriting Assistant. My responsibilities included rating/quoting new submissions from the Underwriters, endorsing policies for all lines of business, assisting the UW in secretarial duties, and helping maintain agency relationships in order to promulgate business growth.
