Served as the squadron Senior Advisor to the commander concerning the family readiness program, policies, and practices. Interfaced with over 400 soldiers and family members to communicate the commander’s family readiness goals. Provided leadership and direction to the troop level FRG Leaders. Disseminated information regarding squadron and above activities, issues relating to family relations, and ensure necessary implementation to any changes to policies or procedures. Provided timely and concise updates and respond to various questions, providing clarification when necessary. Chaired monthly FRG Steering Committee in collaboration with the commander to discuss, plan, and schedule future activities involving the squadron. Recruited, trained, and developed key volunteers to ensure the success and readiness of the squadron. Represented 2-14 CAV families on division, community and instillation committees and coalitions.Actively maintained 3 Facebook pages to effectively communicate with soldiers and family members to keep them abreast while being mindful to not compromise sensitive information. Promptly ensured all volunteer achievements were recognized and awarded per volunteer hours contributed.Continuously strengthened and improved the morale by successfully planning and coordinating various activities including a squadron cookbook, sporting activities, military balls and formals, meal trains, potlucks, holiday events, and other squadron level functions. Awarded the Commander's Award for Public Service (May 2017) for effective leadership and positive contributions to the squadron's success.
