Thank you for taking a moment to review my profile. I have a lifetime of experience and a passion for customer experience.I started my career in the hospitality industry. Within three months I worked my way up from a server to a bartender and manager on duty the Kelsey’s Barrhaven. There is where I found my drive for sales and marketing.After completing my Business Administration in Marketing degree at Algonquin College with honors, I took a position at ZINation as the Digital Marketing Manager. Where I wore multiple hats from digital marketing to hiring and managing interns to sales and customer support. My passion for digital marketing and inbound strategy lead to the Co-hosting of Digital Marketing Meetup Ottawa (@DMMOttawa). As well as my position at Member365 as a Customer Experience Coach. Digital Marketing Manager
As the Digital Marketing Manager, it was my team's responsibility to build product awareness to increase lead generation, which, lead to an increase in sales month over month. Also, to create material to assist the customer through their ZINation Experience.As with most start-ups, it is common to wear multiple hats, in addition to marketing, my responsibilities extended to recruiting, hiring staff, product development, sales, and customer support.
Social Media Manager
It was my responsibility to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate all of Kelsey’s Barrhaven social media platforms. Using Hootsuite I scheduled a minimum one post on both Facebook and Twitter daily and responded to any consumer’s comments. I also provided support for the stores events and promotions by scheduling posts before, during and after the event or promotion. I was also involved in the design of promotional materials such as posters, and table talkers, then developing that promotional material using Photoshop.
Bartender
We (Bartenders) worked as a team to ensure that all guests receive a miraculous experience and always leave happy. For the Kelsey’s motto is “Happiness Always”. With every guest, I suggestively sold promotional items or suggestively up sold add-ons on both food and beverages items. This helped to increase sales and ensure that over stocks items were not wasted. As a senior bartender and senior Krew member (Co-Worker) it is my responsibility to lead by example and coach fellow Krew members to ensure, they can give the best experience to every guest. On a daily basis, I was responsible for all liquor and beer inventory and that the bar was fully stocked for the next bartender. We worked as a team to maintain and monitors inventory levels and the cleanliness of the bar to ensure guests feel like Kelsey’s is their oasis.
Manager On Duty (Mod)
When managing it was my responsibility to ensure all guests received a miraculous experience, labour and food costs are low, and all food is temping appropriately according to health and safety codes. In addition, I was responsible for opening and closing the restaurant and doing the deposit on a daily basis. During every shift, I would coach and counsel Krew members in areas that they were having difficulty. With management approval I preformed additional duties such as create and design Kelsey’s awards for Krew to show appreciation, run Krew contests, and make promotional material for events. Showing appreciation is important which is why I had bar stool plaques made for our regulars with their names in them and kept guests informed and updated through Facebook posts. We has a team organize special events such as patio parties and kid’s fun days, which gave me the opportunity to create beautiful displays in the front door display case. Being a MOD helped develop a wide variety of skills that will be useful in every position I hold in the future.
