Under contract to the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), and in collaboration with the Department of Defense (DoD), Ms. Jones served as project manager for the development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. She directed systematic reviews, assessed evidence, adapted recommendation grading methodology to current processes, and led communication efforts with VA and DoD clinical experts during the guideline creation process.She also led work to develop evidence-based consensus statements on traumatic brain injury state-of-the-science for military service members and veterans for the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) under the Defense Health Agency (DHA). She managed systematic review methodology, evidence synthesis, and consensus statement development. Ms. Jones provided organizational oversight for eight DoD clinical expert working groups and directed the development of 6 manuscripts for publication.Ms. Jones served as the project manager for an AHRQ contract focused on developing and disseminating focused and tailored patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) products and tools for use by health educators. She oversaw daily project operations, formative research, development of surveys and evaluation measures focused on PCOR and shared decision making (SDM), and dissemination of information to, and data gathering from, technical expert panels (TEPs). Ms. Jones also played an active role in business development including reviewing opportunities, managing proposals, and participating in strategy and marketing efforts.

Funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Ms. Jones served as project manager of an effort to evaluate current performance patterns and available data to develop new national goal(s) for organ transplantation and identifying successful practices for dissemination to the community. Ms. Jones served as the project manager on an engagement for the American Society of Hematology (ASH) to identify and promote existing and emerging opportunities for hematologists in hospital and health system environments. Ms. Jones also served as a task lead for the learning and diffusion project component of a large CMS initiative to identify promising approaches to scalable and sustainable models to promote improved quality of care to patients, better population health, and lower costs.

Ms. Jones supported several projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Ms. Jones provided program management and coordination support for the VHA Health Systems Office on a project aimed to successfully integrate the VA and DoD EHR systems. She managed and facilitated workgroups and meetings, documented key issues and risks, and prepared written communication materials for a variety of stakeholder audiences. She provided coordination and logistical support to over 10 small project teams and facilitated communication and cooperation between the small project teams and larger workgroups and governance boards. She supported the VHA Office of Emergency Management (OEM) Comprehensive Emergency Management Program (CEMP) as the coordinator of logistics for all program evaluation site visits and managed the site visit report quality assurance (QA) process. Ms. Jones also led a market research project to assess best practices in the area of resource management during disasters, which included literature reviews, facilitating guided interviews with subject matter experts and qualitative data analysis. Ms. Jones evaluated the current resource management processes within VHA, and after gathering best practice information, made recommendations to improve the organization, efficiency, and the overall effectiveness of VHA emergency resource management systems and practices.

Ms. Jones executed testing of clinical and environmental samples for various infectious diseases and potential agents of bioterrorism, collected surveillance data, participated in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) implementation and adherence, wrote standard operating procedures (SOPs), trained laboratory staff, and engaged in emergency preparedness and response activities. She also managed the verification of new testing protocols and coordinated with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on national testing and surveillance projects. She was a member of the H1N1 response team for the state of Massachusetts during the 2009 outbreak and is experienced working in a BSL-3 laboratory environment.
