About Christine Shidla

I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiolgy, with emphasis in Sports Medicine, from the University of Minnesota. At the University I completed my internship as an athletic trainer in the Men’s Athletic Program. I attained my Health/Fitness Instructor certification through the American College of Sports Medicine. I am an instructor trainer for the Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Exercise Program. In addition to Summit Place, I have worked in various fitness and rehabilitation settings including Courage Center and Calhoun Beach Club. As well, I have helped individuals of all abilities and age groups reach wellness and fitness goals. My education and work history reflects my experience in providing wellness services and programming within the six dimensions of wellness and through a continuum of care.Specialties: Aquatic exercise and active aging for older adults, presenting, teaching group fitness classes and teaching instructors, program development and member retention
