Inside all of us we Innately know that there are fundamental laws that govern business and our interactions with others. Knowing this is one thing, but truly understanding it is another. As a leader of an organization that aims to be a catalyst in the lives of the people we interact with. I have had to learn how to be a self-starter, persistent and sometimes a pest. However this has helped me to understand different personalities but most importantly understand my self.We’ve heard the saying many times, that once we understand our why’s we can overcome any how’s. Through these experiences and lessons learned we have been able to reach over 20 thousand young people over a 2-year period. In the same space of time we have also grown to have more then 200 volunteers on our database, just by word of mouth. We found ourselves being in a unique position of having more people wanting to volunteer then what we actually needed. They believed in our cause not only because it resonated with them but also because we took the time to understand their values and empower them to make a difference.It is because of this level of buy in that I believe, the impact we have had on our community should always go hand in hand with fiscal responsibility and being sustainable. This is why I have overseen every step of the business planning process.
